Elroy takes you on a frightening journey in this story with Elizabeth and the horrifying discovery she makes when she moves to her grandfather's farm. Truly a nightmare.
Moving to a farm when you've spent your entire life on a farm is scary enough, but throw in a spirit and the fact that Elizabeth has to fight it? These small facts all add up into one thrill ride of a book. Excellent if you like to be scared, interesting even if you don't!
Having being a fan of Elroys writing after reading "The Perfect Punk" I was really looking forward to reading this - and I was not disapointed! The whole story line about the dairy farm is so realistic you find yourself lost in this book from the start. The whole story from start to finish left me unable to put this one down. The book is very well written and has that certain "spark" when your reading it making you think you really are there. You find yourself thinking 2hat would I" as you read. I gurantee anyone eles who reads this fab book will feel the same.
I really enjoy reading this book about Elizabeth and how she move to her grandfather's haunted farm.
This book had me on the edge of my seat especially when i was reading about how Elizabeth had was to fight against the spirit.
Elroy captivates again! I read his other book, "The Perfect Punk", which left me scared of the dark for several weeks. When I finished that book, I swore I wouldn't read another book by him. However, his characters and plot lines are so realistic and enchanting that I couldn't stay away. Biting my fingers I found myself reading through "Haunted". Having grown up on a dairy farm, the story became even more terrifying as his rich descriptions of scenes, characters and objects made me feel as if I was back on the farm of my childhood. It is the rich descriptions and believable character that this make this story captivating and terrifying. Again, I had to sleep with the lights on for several night, as the plot and characters seemed to seep inside my head and refuse to leave. If you're looking for a good, captivating, horrifying story, look no further and buy this!
I love horror stories and I was definitely not disappointed with this book. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat as Elizabeth fights against the spirit and tries to stay alive. This is a must read for anyone interested in paranormal and horror stories.
